Atsuko Chiba and her alter ego, Paprika, are the main protagonists in the film Paprika.
Atsuko is an attractive, pale-skinned young woman with black hair that is tied into a bun with bangs swept to the left side and black eyes. She often wears suits, a pencil skirt and high heels.
As Paprika (Atsuko's alter ego), she has curly, short red hair with a slightly-darker skin tone. She is always seen wearing a red shirt with a white belt, jeans and sneakers.
As the Doctor
Atsuko is a very serious person. It is revealed by Paprika that she believes that she can control others, and others should listen to her. She becomes more friendly after admitting her feelings for Tokita Kōsaku.
Alter Ego: Paprika
As Paprika, her personality is almost the opposite of her personality as a doctor. Paprika is a more care-free, friendly and cheerful woman.
